Alberto Cavaliere is professor of Public Finance at the University of Pavia. He holds a a Master of Arts in Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain and a Ph.D. in Economics. He is Director of MEFI (Master in Economics, Finance and International Integration), Professor on Contract at the Free University of Bozen and a founding member of NERI (Network on Economics of Regulation and Institutions). Currently he works on a project about Gas Distribution Networks, funded by Fondazione AMGA, and on a Research about the Value of Water Concessions commissioned by the National Treasury Department (MEF). He has been a Visiting Scholar at University College London, CORE (Belgium), the Department of Applied Economics (Cambridge, UK), the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies, and a visiting Professor at Université de Lyon III. He has served as an advisor in various private and public institutions, including ARERA (Milano), CIRIEC (Belgium), Gaz de France (Paris). He has carried out research projects with FEEM, (Milano), Centro Studi CONFINDUSTRIA, CEPS (Center for European Policy Studies) and ENEL Corporate University. He has published in various international and national journals.
