The workshop will explore the main technical innovations that are transforming construction materials to promote decarbonization, circularity and resource efficiency, along with the legislative and economic measures that can encourage their adoption.

The workshop will analyze the challenges and opportunities of the NRRP for the sustainable development of transport infrastructure in Italy. Based on the volume edited by Paolo Costa, discussions focused on decarbonization, climate change adaptation, and urban mobility. Experts examined the current system’s critical issues and strategies to turn them into opportunities. Special attention was given to metropolitan and tourist areas.

This workshop within the Smart City Observatory aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities for urban sustainability planning and management related to a district-based approach.
