CRISTINA MOTTIRONI

Cristina Mottironi is a Tenured Lecturer of Tourism Development and Destination Management at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi. She leads the Tourism Major within the MSc in Economics and Management of Arts, Culture, Media, and Entertainment (ACME) at Bocconi. She has served as a visiting professor at Temple University (USA) and various Italian universities. Her academic focus includes tourism destination development, sustainable tourism, and the visitor economy. A member of IFITT - International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism, she consults on tourism development projects for public entities and organizations. She was also delegate of the Italian Ministry of the Environment at the Alps Convention and served on the boards of Centro Internazionale di Arte e Cultura Palazzo Te in Mantova and Fabilia Group SpA. She holds a PhD in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey (UK).
