GREEN Bocconi University is looking for motivated and qualified talents to fill 2 positions to work on the Horizon 2020 project "Distender" (GA n.01056836).
1- The research aims to analyse the economic impacts of climate change and the effectiveness of mitigation and adaptation policies at the urban level. In detail, the activities include the use of software for data collection and analysis, and economic evaluation of socio-economic impacts. Reference WPs: WP7 “Cost-benefits evaluation and impacts”.
The candidate should have the following proven competencies:
- economic and environmental assessment;
- policy evaluation;
- data gathering, analysis and interpretation;
- use of statistical packages (e.g.: Stata, R, Python, etc.);
- ability to prepare research reports and papers;
- work and study experience in the research field;
- excellent knowledge of Italian and English (spoken and written);
- availability to travel.
2- The research activity will focus on the evaluation and spatial representation of the socioeconomic impacts of climate change, with particular reference to the urban scale. The activities will include the collection and analysis of meteorological, climate, socioeconomic, and spatial data, as well as the interpretation and visualization of analyses using specific software for statistical and spatial analysis, including the production of maps. Reference WP: WP7 “Cost-benefits evaluation and impacts”.
The candidate should have the following proven competencies:
- statistical analysis;
- spatial analysis;
- data gathering, analysis and interpretation;
- use of statistical and spatial analysis software (e.g.: Stata, R, Python, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.); ability to prepare research reports and papers;
- work and study experience in the research field;
- excellent knowledge of Italian and English (spoken and written);
- availability to travel.
Duration: 9 months
Salary: € 1.800 monthly (gross)
