Smart City Observatory Workshop

Digitalization is changing the way we define and organize society, reshaping the concept of citizenship, particularly in the urban context. Digital citizenship encompasses the set of rights and practices that enable city dwellers to participate actively, safely, and equitably in civic life and community governance, and access services through digital tools and platforms. The use of digital technologies is increasingly shaping urban environments and transforming the experience of daily life.
Digital transformation offers significant opportunities: simplified access to services, greater social inclusion, and new forms of participation in large-scale decision-making processes. At the same time, critical issues are emerging related to inequalities in access to digital technologies and skills, data governance, transparency and interoperability of platforms, and privacy protection.
The workshop will explore the topic of digital citizenship through contributions dedicated to digital identity, innovation in online public services, digital urban infrastructure, and strategies to promote citizen inclusion and participation in urban decision-making processes.

The event will be held in Italian.
