Maximilian Göbel is a postdoctoral researcher at Bocconi University, working with Professors Massimo Guidolin, Marco Percoco, and Claudio Zara under the “Fin4Green – Finance for a Stustainable Green and Resilient Society” project, funded by Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca (Bando PRIN 2020).
He holds a PhD in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG – Universidade de Lisboa). Throughout his PhD, he was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Bologna, the University of Pennsylvania, Ca' Foscari – University of Venice, and Université du Québéc at Montréal. His research focuses on climate econometrics, (macroeconomic) forecasting, and finance with a strong focus on machine learning.
