MARTINA BARBAGLIA

Martina Barbaglia is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the GREEN Center of Bocconi University. She holds a PhD in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where her research focused on sustainable and climate finance, particularly the relationship between corporate capital structure and environmental performance as measured by carbon emissions.
Within the broader field of sustainable finance, her current work examines the financial dimensions of the transition to a circular economy, exploring its implications for firms’ financial performance, risk, and resilience, as well as its broader effects on the financial system. Her research combines practitioner and policy perspectives through ongoing collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.
