Urban logistics is undergoing a deep transformation due to a number of drivers, including the rise of e-commerce, consumer demand for increasingly flexible deliveries, and the need of public decision makers to reduce gridlock in urban areas and pollutant and climate-changing emissions.
Digital solutions can contribute to more efficient management of urban logistics by fostering greater coordination among operators, multimodality, and more rational use of public spaces.
The workshop will explore technological solutions, infrastructure investments, operational models and policy tools that can innovate urban logistics.
