STEFANO RIELA

Stefano Riela is an Academic Fellow at Università Bocconi and a Senior Associate Research Fellow at the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI). His research interests include the political economy of the European Union, international trade, industrial policy, and competition policy. Previously, he lectured on the Economics of the European Union at the University of Auckland and the University of Canterbury. Beyond his academic roles, Stefano served as President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and worked as an Economic Advisor on communications regulation at the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM). He also acted as a consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Italy’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
