Since 2007, Federico has been a Research Fellow at GREEN (Centre for Geography, Resources, Environment, Energy and Networks) at Bocconi University. Federico is currently Assistant Professor in Energy Economics at the University of Milan. In 2014, Federico was visiting Postdoc Fellow at Venice International University. From 2010 to 2013, he was Visiting Research Fellow at EconomiX, the Research Centre on Economics of Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. His areas of expertise are energy markets, environmental and water economics, with a specific focus on financial and economic regulation and on the enabling conditions for private sector involvement and public-private partnerships. Besides his academic activities, Federico works as an independent consultant specialized in financial modeling, tariff design and cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for the energy and the environmental sector. He has advised clients on major international energy infrastructure projects, small and medium sized investment in RES production and energy efficiency, as well as environmental litigation.
