GIOSUE' FABIANO

Giosuè Fabiano received his PhD from The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, with a dissertation titled 'Natural Lighting, Art and Temporal Experience in Late Medieval and Early Renaissance Italian Churches'. His research lies at the intersection of medieval and early modern sciences (especially optics and astronomy), ritual performances and artistic practices. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow of the PRIN project 'Hidden in Plain Sight: the Metalwork Altarpieces of Medieval Venetia' (PI: Stefania Gerevini) at Bocconi University, Milan. He worked as an Associate Lecturer at The Courtauld and held fellowships at the Bibliotheca Hertziana, the University of Hamburg and the Nederlands Interuniversitair Kunsthistorisch Instituut in Florence. He holds an M.A. from the Warburg Institute and a B.A. from Sapienza, University of Rome.
