Nature can help to provide concrete solutions to reduce vulnerability and generate value exploiting the properties of ecosystems and the services they provide. During the workshop, the book "Nature Based Solutions for More Sustainable Cities ”- edited by Edoardo Croci and Benedetta Lucchitta and published by Emerald publisher - will be presented. It highlights the benefits generated by nature-based solutions (NBS) in cities by providing a holistic framework that considers design and planning, socio-economic evaluation and the financial dimension. The authors of the book will take part in the discussion.

The aim of this meeting is to stimulate the debate on the concept of resilience in a perspective that is not only abstract, but also operational, in order to guide the evolution of the city in the light of the current pandemic crisis. The workshop is held on the occasion of the publication of the book “Smart cities in time of resilience” edited by Giuseppe Franco Ferrari
